U.S. Ambassador Pickering addresses Russian and American dignitaries, industry representatives and members of the press during a roll-out ceremony for the modified Tu-144LL supersonic flying laboratory. The ceremony was held at the Zhukovsky Air Development Center near Moscow, Russia, on March 17, 1996. The ''LL'' designation for the aircraft stands for Letayuschaya Laboratoriya, which means Flying Laboratory in Russian.
